front bearing seal install
« on: March 28, 2007 - 02:36:05 PM »
Seeing as how I've tried to put just about everything on backwards the first time I'll aks first.
on a '73 rotor the seal that goes on inside behind the inner bearing  does the groved side go toward the bearing or the flange go toward the bearing?

Also how full of grease should the rotor cavity be? The manual says not to overfill.

Thanks Wade

I should know this!!   :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

I have to say(99% sure) the flange side goes towards the bearing. I greased the bearing down good with that thick bearing grease. My inner cavity was already full of grease from some previous idiot.

Thanks Mike, you are correct. I figured it out on the other rotor that I had not greased up yet.
