Well I've worked on the car quite a bit this week. I installed a complete new brake line kit from inline tubing, which fit great and put all new hardware inside my rear brake drums. I have brakes!
I fabricated a battery tray for it at work out of some 1/8" steel until I can get a new inner fender put in so that there is solid metal to attach the factory battery tray to. I finally got around to checking the ratio in my Dana today. 4.10 Posi!!!
I put new gear oil in it and my 4 speed, and played around with the timing a little bit today and got the car running great. However, I noticed an oil leak at the base of my distributor, and shut the car off. I took out the distributor, put a new gasket in place, but I never could get the car to fire back up after I reinstalled the distributor. I put it back in exactly the way I took it out. I don't know what happened. Its like it doesn't want to get fire now. The plug-ins on my distributor and wiring harness are clean. It will fire every now and then while i'm turning it over, but never long enough to keep the car running.
I get so close to carrying this thing out on the road and now this happens.
