Maybe I got them mixed up I need the muffler or resinator that is in front of the axle. I want to order stock head pipes and replace my glass packs with warlock mufflers with electric cutouts and I want to make sure they fit where the stock mufflers would fit. I thought the stock were oval case with center inlet and offset outlet but that was a guess. I took out the ones by the gas tank and ran pipe striaght through that part.

The mufflers in front of the axle only fit good in the original space. On my car, I bought the date coded repros from Josh's muscle car (logitec) and the inlet and outlet were in the centers. My head pipes are 2 1/2 for my 6 pk engine. They fit right in perfect.

Thanks That is what I needed. The warlock mufflers are a little shorter I think so I will just have to add a little pipe to it but the center inlet center outlet is helpful.

FYI - The ones in front of the axles are the Resonators.  The ones under the trunk pan are the mufflers.  Dynomax makes a nice Round can muffler that sounds great when used in the back  :2thumbs:

Did you use the Dynomax mufflers with the stock resonators? How did it sound? My stock mufflers and resonators are to quiet for me.

No, I just used the Dynomax cans in the back - no resonators.  It also makes the underside of the car really clean as well.

I suppose you are using the 18" case length Dynomax......I see Magnaflow has basicly the same 18" long 7" round muffler anyone try those?

Yes, it was the 18" ones I used in the back.  Actually have done this on 3 or 4 e-bodies and they look very factory correct if you just take a quick look under there.  Never used the Magnaflow version so can't comment on them.
