Where do I buy the new (old looking) mopar batteries?
« on: January 06, 2007 - 10:00:48 PM »
Where is the best place to get a new (old looking) battery?  Thanks in advance.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Try "Antique Auto Battery" :

info@antiqueautobattery.com

They carry both wet & sealed batteries in the correct style.

Buy the sealed version as it seems like mine is always leaking out of the caps and could make a mess of the paint under the hood.

There are also cases that look like the orignal batteries and can hold an Optima inside. I have one of the antique batteries, and it works, but it is no where near as good as the optima especially for the price. I don't know who makes the cases, but if someone here knows, I think that is a better alternative.

Goofy idea:  I saw this before, not sure if you're interested.

I've seen covers that fit over sealed batteries so it looks like a vintage battery with the vent.  I tried to do a search and only found this small pic.  Not sure who makes them.  I've seen others out there.  These are Ford ones.
