I have the Be Cool Setup good to 700HP(dual fans)..it runs great and the car does not run hot....it turns off and on on its own due to sending unit in water pump housing... and its a well built 499 stroker...
Radiators are only good to a certain HP...be leary of some of those cheapie radiators out there they probably have a real low HP rating....plus factor in hot day!!!!  :burnout:

Are you running a stock radiator and just wanna put electric fans on it ???

I'm running a BeCool dual fan setup. The only draw back in my opinion is that they pull a bunch of power (current) About 20 amps per fan. My setup is rated for at least 1000HP :wow:

If you have a stock alternator, the only con is hte load they pull...lol. This can be minimized with relays and good wiring. The way to go isa3 position switch, have one "off" one 100% "on", and one "on" but controlled thru a temp switch. That way if the sender lets go, you have a default on.

You may want to check out coolcraft.com  They have a variety of setups including duel electric fans.  They will also make a shroud to fit your application.  I am thinking about getting their 4 core triple flow radiator by U.S. Radiator.  Runs about 550, so it may be a little while.  Looks to be about the best aftermarket rad I have seen.  Of course, alot of people will say to stick with a Vicious fan (clutch).  I went to that recently, but have not had the chance to test it out.  (replacing dash and gauge cluster).

I'll have a dual twin electric fan set up mounted in front of my 340ci and a viscous fan behind. I will have it set on switch so when in traffic or under heavy driving conditions I can flick the switch and they will come on (I think it's the same set up as moper). That eliminates the load on the the alternator, use it when you need it or when it's reading high. As I see it, it definitely won't hurt anything having extra cooling apart from a little extra weight but the electric fans must weight about 4-5lbs. lol  I have just the viscous fan in Lucy and in summer temps up around 32C (85+F) I can sit in traffic for a good 5-10 minutes and it's perfect.

Thats the setup I have and the car has never run over 205...and that was on July 4th putting around town traffic.  Runs 185-190 on highway and general driving.

Remember after about 30-35 MPH your fans are worthless. With a good electronic setup your fans will be fully automatic. Plus you can have the option of installing over-ride switches if you desire. Electronic controls will very the speed of the fans as needed thus keeping the power draw at a minimum. You can also avoid the stupid mistake I made... forgetting to turn the fan switch on. :roflsmiley:
