i found someone who does soda blasting and copied and pasted what was said in the beginning. This was his reply.

This guy is right about it being a mess if it is done dry. If blasted wet there is little air borne mess.
I do not blast (dry) in residential areas because of complaints.
The only time I would blast (wet) is if the car is stripped of all parts.
When complete the soda washes clean in water. I recommend the car is washed 3 times to remove any residue.
You could add vinegar to the solution if you like. Once the car is thoroughly rinsed it should be primed and painted as soon as possible.
Soda is the easiest media on the car and will not remove anodizing, etch glass or rubber. You also will not have sand or media rattling around in your frame or chassis for ever.
