I live about 20 minutes from the car and have not scene it.  I would be willing to go take a look at it if anyone on the board is looking for more info.  These guys are located at a farm right next door to the paddock in knightstown.

Thanks Nakita. I picked this one up for $600 about a year and a half ago. I have the rear spoiler for it too that I got off ebay. I don't think these cars look right without it. I'll probably put a front spoiler on too. Oh yeah, I also got rear window slats for it off of ebay. Can't wait to get the major work done on it.

Yes, I agree, they definately need spoilers! Very underrated cars. You mentioned a front spoiler and louvers(?), is that stock? Not quite sure I've ever seen that. What colour are you going? There is one here with a spoiler and big boots on the back in black, looks awesome! That's probably the colour I would want...

If I am not mistaken, that 71 Challenger came from Oklahoma.  It just sold on ebay maybe three or four months ago for right around 5k or so??


edit: I just went back and saw the pic with the rear plate.  Yep same car.   

Well then it's either in worse shape than it looks, or the guy bought it before researching what it would cost for repairs...

...either that or his wife spanked him somethin' fierce and is making him get rid of it.

I know some AMX Javelins came with front spoilers and louvers so they were stock to some cars; add ons for mine. Not sure about the color yet. I love this color called Brandywine that I have seen on several hotrods from the 70's and early 80's. It seems to change to a deeper hue around curves and I think the curves and lines of the Javelin would lend itself beautifully to this paint. I might also go with a metallic charcoal with black alloy wheels. The whole dark treatment thing looks really hot too.

Actually, these guys deal in cars.  They don't seem to be restoring them, just buying and selling and trying to make a few bucks doing so.  I have no opinion on whether or not it's a fair price.
