Master Cylinder Gasket
« on: February 14, 2008 - 11:15:07 PM »
Is there a gasket between the master cylinder and the power brake booster?  I have a paint kit with a gasket that fits perfectly in that area, but the service manual shows no pics or discusses one in the assembly text.  Thanks

nto usually , the 4 bolt gasket would go against the firewall with std brakes though

Looking at the photo, if its a foam gasket it would not be a bad idea to keep it on just in case the cylinder leaks one day and will not remove the paint , if its a plastic one don't use it because it will change the depth of the booster push rod and screw things up...
