has anyone with 17" wheels noticed a difference  with a 3.91 rear??? My brother had a 391 in his dart with 14or 15 inch wheels and was running real hard at 50-60 mph i was thinking with bigger wheels you might notice a difference??? just wondering

I don't think there would be a big difference. It just depends on how tall the tire is on the wheel.  The taller the tire, the lower the RPM.
For instance, if you took a 15" x 30" tall tire from a truck and put it on your 'CUDA your RPMs would be alot lower then if you had a 17" by 26" tall tire

Like stated rim size doesn't determine anything, it is the overall tire diameter

Personally, I don't like wagon wheels on muscle cars, too ricey.  I'd go with 15" or 16" wheels tops.

I think they look great on there - If you decide to take them off and sell them let me know. My muscle car looks great with that style of rim.

I love the Coys rims they look great.
I am looking at getting a set of 18" X 9.5 with 5.5 BS for the rear and 18 x 8  4.5 BS for the fornt this week
Just trying to figure out the back spacing

What is the rim size of rim and back spacing on your black cuda

Ya know, with all the popularity of big rims on SUVs, there are a number of 17 and 18 tires that are available in in 45 and 50 series profiles. They will help keep the tire proportions in line with more classic wheels.

Another thread talked about sway bars hurting you at the track. At first this confused me but then I remembered the default idea of 'the track' around here is 1/4 mile at a time. I think of the track as having two drag strips... the front straight and the back straight.

This is my idea of a Challenger;

Currently, this is my idea of cool for wheels and they're not too expensive either:

BlackCuda, I think your cars look great. They all seem to be done with taste. Personally I'm running 17"s out of necessity and $$$ 15" tires that grip good are about 175-250 each where as a "good" tire for track days is about 120-150. These said 15" tires wear quickly because they are race tires. Also I want big brakes. I'm running a 13" rotor up front and a 12" rotor out back.
