Bell Houseing
« on: April 08, 2007 - 02:02:35 PM »
My 1970 Challenger  came with a 383 . The owner before me traded the motor for a 440 out of a 67 GTX .My problem is that the hole in the bell houseing for the input end of the trans is smaller in 1967 . It seems they traded the bell housing at the same time not knowing they were different . Evidentally Mopar felt a need for a bigger bearing thus a bigger cone meaning a bigger hole .So if anyone wants to trade or has one for a 1970 at a reasonable price please let me know . :banghead:

Brewers has Brank new Alum bels for $299
It will be hard to beat that price at a swap meet on a used bel with stripped holes
