Rev Limiter Location
« on: April 09, 2007 - 11:19:33 AM »
Just ordered an MSD soft touch limiter (pn. 8728)and am wondering the best place to locate it. I would prefer to conceal it somewhere such as under the dash.  :misbehaving:

 Any suggestions?  :dunno:

When I had my MSD6AL installed last year, we put the box on the left driver side floorboard, high up over the dimmer switch. Out of the way and  you don't notice it.

After much pondering, the floor mount location above the high beam switch seemed to be the best choice. Easily accessable, but yet out of the way. Thank you for the advice.   I really didn't want to drill holes or cut the carpet though so it now sit's in the glove box. I checked with MSD and they said it would be ok. Any heat generated from the limiter would not be an issue. Only avoid placing it near other sources of heat.

The installation instructions only referance "Wiring to a Chrysler magnetic pickup". So points must not be acceptable. They also offer another part number for an MSD ignition system.
