426 Hemi Heads
« on: March 23, 2007 - 04:26:41 PM »
I got a chance to buy some 426 Hemi heads. Both heads are showing cracks near the spark plug holes. One head, all four are showing cracks, the other, I could only see 2 cracks....are these repairable?? What would their value be once repaired?? How long could one expect these heads, once repaired, to last?? The last three on the part number on one of the heads was 559.

Definatley Repairable... ive seen heads and blocks demolished and they were brought back to original. Best bet is to find a motor shop that has a cnc head machine, that way they can perfectly duplicate the original combustion chambers.

Gonna pick them up along with some flowed 906 heads, a 70 383 HP block with crank, rods and pistons and a big block bellhousing. Sometime this week. Too sick today to move....
