Here are the specs for your Doubting Thomas friend. The engine had headers for the dyno tune, as it does in the car. This mod is still "stock" in my book, although your friend might disagree. Where I did not go even after much pleading from the dyno shop, was with a pair of Holleys over the stock carbs. The Carters fall on their face above 6200, whereas the Holleys would keep going and developing horsepower, but to me that wouldn't be "stock". What I found especially interesting was how close to the advertised hp figure of 425 this engine developed at that rpm. The Chrysler techs weren't lying about the hp, they just weren't stating it at it's peak ~
