71 Challenger conv
« on: April 22, 2007 - 05:57:18 PM »
The car in my avitar I used to own and had to sell back in 2000 to avoid bankruptcy. Things were tough and I did not file for bankruptcy. I was taught to pay for what you spent. Long story short, I worked long and hard to get where I am now, and at times it's overwelming, but that car is possibly for sale. My agreement with the current owner is to purchase it for what he has in it. I sold it for $15,500 and he has made improvements. He sold all the original Shaker parts and replaced the hood with the performance hood ( I was bummed). Probably looking at around $20K. This car is solid for a all it's life Ohio car! My fingers are crossed since I'm still trying to fund the "Save my butt barracuda" to keep the 70 Challenger conv. I loved the red car. It is a turn key, drop top and enjoy car!
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!

I wish you all the luck! I still regret not being able to get my dream car 71 convertible. I had a job but the bank would not float a loan in 85 to a 16 year old for 1200 bones. My dad saw 2 girls get their heads rubbed off after they flipped a vert vette so he would not cosign. The car sold for 600 dollars and I still go see it from time to time. FE5 red, white power top, white interior, air conditioning, slap stick 318, 14" rallyes, light package. All in all a very nice car to drop a strong small block in and go cruising. I had a chance to get a 71 Barracuda vert in blue/blue/blue for 450 but the floors were starting to rust out and it had a column shift auto lol. What a moron, it had air and power top also. When I think what that running car would be worth now I could kick my own ass!!!!! I have always had a woody for a convertible but now they are just too far in the stratosphere  :crying: Best of luck getting your car back  :ylsuper:
