New show "DRIVE"
« on: April 15, 2007 - 07:47:22 PM »
Secret Illegal Cross Country Road Race:  Winner gets $32 million.

Just watched the first two shows tonight, and it looked real good, but it will continue on Monday nights at 8pm EST of FOX.

There was a Challenger in the previews for the next show on this Monday.

I will not be able to watch it because of my job, let me know what happened to the Challenger if any of you watch it.   :2thumbs:

I watched it also.   Looks like they do some good burnouts with it.  I doubt they will destroy it , but you never know.

This show seems like it'll be a good alternative to watching Prison Break.  The Challenger looks cool in it, so hopefully they don't wreck it. :2thumbs:

Of course in Jericho, they T-boned a "Road Runner" in the very first episode...

Anybody seen Grindhouse yet?  They show a white Challenger doing a pretty good Vanishing Point imitation in the trailer.  I'd go see it, but the Mrs. isn't about to watch a movie whose main attractions are old muscle cars, gore and a scantily clad chick running around with a missile launcher for a right leg.

I saw it and liked it....made by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, plenty of action :ylsuper:, big guns , Mopar muscle cars, plenty of nudity :bananasmi...just about everything I look for in a movie :icon16: The movie is 3 hrs long but has a intermission and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that doesnt like gore. The 2nd movie is the one with the Challenger and it also has a Charger in it, both of which are torn up by the end of the movie. The movie talks about vanishing point and theres plenty of mopar lingo...I dont want to get into specifics but can tell you theres a long scene with the Challenger and Charger racing down the backroads.

Sweet! The Challenger has just been brought into the picture. :2thumbs:
Wow, that car is going to be the main attraction just like the Challenger in VP did. (Even though Newman and the guy in "Drive" do a good job with their parts.)

I've watched it two weeks now and it's a decent show. I'm bugged that the front edge of the Challenger's hood is bent on what appears to be a fully restored car.  And it may be a bit nit-picky, but when the guy was talking about his car in the interogation, he refered to it as a 72....It's obviously a 70. (Kinda like when they refer to Foose's Challengers as 70's but somehow they all have a 71 grill.)

Just a note.  I like Bull Run better.  If you haven't seen it yet, you can watch all the previous episodes on www.spiketv.com for free.

I've already been asked by teenagers if my car is one of the ones used on drive.  It may do for Challengers what Nash Bridges did for Cuda's.  Good and bad if that happens.
