1970 hemi cuda convertible project

well i just got started today and i'll post pics soon i removed the trans it took about 5hrs. i'm new to this it was my first time doing anything to a car took advice from you guys and the shop manual out to the car and did it. i'm changing a non-matching # 383  auto cuda convertible to a hemi 4sp with a shakerhood i guess nexyt step is to remove interior and put pedals and hump in i'll get back to you thanks

well after returning home from carlise this weekend had to get back to work on the car. taking the trans out was no problem compaired to putting the 4speed in by myself but i did it  :woohoo:. strongly suggest to do this part with someone else. pics are coming soon. hopfully it goes smoother tomorrow and it will be back on the ground maybe even take it for a spin  :droolingbounce: is there any advise on setting the pedals and rods that i need to know thanks

the pedal shoudl have 1/2" - 1" play at the top of its travel just to allow enough room to keep the throw out brg from spinning all the time
 the 3 levers in the shifter have a small hole in them so you can slide a short pin through them to center them while adjusting the rods , this can be done without the pin as well , just center the levers & just make sure the shifter moves side to side without binding

well its been a couple of weeks now and the 4sp conversion still isn't done yet ran into small but major problems. got them figuered out with help from shelbydogg and chryco psycho lot of phone minutes used thanks guys. problem 1 was aftermarket exhaust was in the way of shifter linkage rods :pullinghair:.answer new exhaust system:bigsmile:. problem 2 power steering column is not as long as a manual steering column :swear:answer now car has power steering :bigsmile:so now all i need is the power steering pump and brackets and i can start putting this car back together. oh yea i also fix my power top needed a new cylinder and top lines works great now.i also restored my grill looks graet and pics are coming soon
