Nice attitude. ::) With comments & people like you in our hobby it's sure to die out quick.

I only meant to mean keep it until you die and don't worry about how much it's worth.  I believe "numbers matching" and Barret Jackson and "restoration teams" are what is bad for the hobby. Normal people can't afford to have one of these cars anymore especially most young people.  That is why you hardly ever see one on the street.  I take your comment about me as an insult but I am trying very hard not to hold it against you even though all sorts of comments come to mind.

I'm sure "all sorts of comments" come to mind, means nothing to me. I must have read it wrong but it was very vague. If you re-read it yourself, you'll agree it doesn't make you sound like the greatest car hobby enthusiast. Not saying your are/aren't but that post speaks for itself. I'm sorry if I took it the wrong way but I can only read into what you type.

"Numbers macthing cars" & "restoration teams"? LOL There is no need to take it out on people who spend their hard earned money on restoring these cars to as new condition (or better). I can't see that as hurting the hobby. BJ does in a way, but, it also gives owners a chance to sell out at a good price. I have never understood how guys can get upset over people spending $$ on these cars, so what? People buy houses for tens of millions and being as cars are the second biggest asset to the average family, the prices aren't so out of place. If they work hard for it who are we to whinge and cry about what they do with their money? Some people blow their money on stamps, not my cuppa tea but I can respect them and what they find interesting.

If you were referring to me when you stated: "restoration teams" which I think you are, kind of a pointless finger point. So? It's easier for me to say that than: "I'm taking my car to the shop who restores my car which has 5 members" or, "I'll talk to Dave, Adam, Steve, Neil, and Big Don". It's faster quicker and easier to say "I'll talk to my resto team". That's what they are, that's what they get paid for and that's what they'll continue to be called.

Think this post is getting a little off track.

Keep them since they are not worth jack outside the car, and you will never think "why" in 15 years or something, you will will have a matching car as long as you keep it, and if you gonna sell it mayby you can get a better price with the matchingnumber things included
About space, if people can restore blocks and stuff that been in the ground you can store it anywhere

Bury it!! I never thought of that. How about one of them new huge ziploc bags I see on late night TV? I know I need to keep the motors, I was really just seeing how others felt. I think a clone with the original motor in a box will always be worth more than the clone by itself, even if it is a 318 or even a 6. As far as the other comments I thought it was pretty funny. I don't think any less of anyone who drops $50,000 on a clone or spends $15,000 on a project and dumps another $20,000 on it over the next 10 years. At least the guy who spends the money up front is driving the car tomorrow, or parking it in a climate controlled as he see fit. It takes all kinds to keep the hobby moving. Buyers and sellers, restorers and customizers, etc.

I would keep the motor.  There is only one original motor.  If gas hits $5 a gallon you may want it.
