Fitting Trunk Springs (Torsion Bars)
« on: July 18, 2006 - 02:54:55 PM »
Hi

I have located a pair of torsion bars for my 73 Cuda- I am assured they are correct but appear very long. Also although I have the 73 Cuda Manual which covers the fitting - It is not too clear to me. Anyone go a better fitting guide , diagrams or any fitting advice

Thanks Guys

Some later models only used one.  If you can't figure it out after looking in the manual. Look at a working one at the next car show.  Prop the trunk up with a rod so it doesn't continually fall on your head.

Mark,

I have 2 torsion bars on my 70 Chally. Sorry these are all the pics I have for now, but it gives you an idea of where the ends fit.

Anyone have a pic of the other side? I have just one torsion rod, not two.

Mike's (MEK Dangerfield) pictures are from both sides, '70's had 2.
