Dropping a 360 oil pan
« on: May 13, 2007 - 09:58:33 AM »
I need to drop the pan on the 408 '73 Cuda.  So far I've got all of the bolts out and the center link dropped.  It looks the pan won't come out without removing one motor mount and dropping one header as they enclose the flange.  Is this right? I kind of hoped it would be easier than the big block Demon as I didn't have to touch the mounts or headers.

ps It's a Milodon pan w/windage tray.

one header needs to be loosened at least , the motor mount typically doesn`t need to be removed

The mounts capture the pan as they are narrower.  I'll replace the steering box while everything is out of the way.
