Anyone know where to get a Carter AVS 4734S rebuild kit?

If that is a 383 AVS, try a Napa/Echlin kit #2-5457 or 902-282A......

which carbs are the same. napa doesnt show the 4734 which is the 383 carb

That Napa 2-5457 kit should be the same. My is a AVS 4682S, Mine is off a '69 SuperBee 383 A/T carb.
I also think Hygrade kit #CK85 rings a bell to me...

there isnt a difference between the regular kits and the ones with cali emissions?

I really don't know, The kit should have provisions for both. These AVS carbs don't have alot of parts too them. Pretty simple carb. Check the jetts in them.  Mine had 82's in them I drilled them out to 89's if I remember correctly.. Just make sure you get everything nice & clean inside.

Every carb tuning book I've read says not to drill out jets cause you can actually hurt your flow rate.  The chamfer in the jet is a big reason they flow the number they do.
