The Chrysler Group (Chrylser, Dodge, Jeep) was sold to Cerberus (I think it's actually called Cerberus Management), an investment company. Consensus (which may or not be correct) is that Cerberus will try to make Chrysler (henceforth Chrysler Holdings LLC) attractive in the short term to turn it over for a quick profit.

Correct - and many people have hinted at the theory of the quick turn-around.  Keep watch for lay-offs - that'll be our confirmation.

At this point we'll be very lucky if the Challenger ever sees production.

Cerberus is saying the right things, but of course that's what we'd expect them to say. We'll see what happens.
