They were probably saying to each other "hey did you see that Cuda down there? (the other pilot) "No, lets turn around and get a better look? I wonder if it's got a Hemi in it?"

I love those old bombers. The B24 B17 and B29 are all awesome planes.

Wow!  In that pic it looks like the wing tip could've scaped the ground!  Must've been real cool to see and hear!  :grinyes:

They are the musclecars of the air. They probably have as bad a gas mileage in comparison too.

400 bucks for a 20 minute ride is out of my price range though. Go buy some more parts I guess.

TC,

I bet they were saying to each other " I wonder if he knows how cool that car is ? "  I live next to the airfield where the Dayton Air Show is held, so I get to see the old warbirds flying once a year and work at Wright Patterson AFB, so I can go to the museum about anytime and see them sitting on display.

I'd love the chance to fly in one of those classic bombers, my all time favorite war bird is the B-17. 400.00 would be well spent for me. Not too many of those beauties left. Cool to get to see them right over your place TC, those even make a hemi sound a bit wimpy when they throttle up.

 :iagree:

Flying in one of those beauties would be well worth the asking price, IMO! Possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity!

I would love the chance to fly in a B-17. My grandfather was a tailgunner during WWII over Germany. Pretty cool stories he had to tell. My favorite is when the war was over they filled the bomb bays with kegs of German beer and flew back to the base. By the time they got there the beer was ice cold and they celebrated victory
