http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/products/wheels has the V48's that look like the AAR race teams wheels from the 70 and 71 race seasons. I am going to do an AAR tribute style and think they would look great.

If your going to the look of Minilites, these guys make a much more authentic wheel.  http://www.team3wheels.com/ac/
Or go with the original for that matter in 15", 17", aluminum, or real magnesium. http://www.minilite.co.uk/

Some here may think that is "overkill" but those are the same people that would call my Hydroboost hydraulic brake booster overkill. Would the XV Motorsports chassis stiffening kit be overkill? I guess it goes well with the Alter-k-tion front and Ride Tech 4-link.

I'd be one of those, but it is your car and your money, so my opinion doesn't much matter unless you ask for it.

Hey there again,

Well I still haven't made any headway on a decision about rims, but I have narrowed it down to something that looks stock or close to it and something that isn't all chrome.  The lines on the car are just too nice to have the rims taking all the attention.

As for the brakes, the car has original disc front with drum back and this is what I know.  When I drive into the parkade of my condominium, the ramp has a down slope of about 30 degrees.  When I enter the building I stop on the ramp waiting for the overhead door to close <don't want any idiots sneaking in to get dumb ideas about taking the car out for a joy ride>.

As I am stopped on the ramp, I have to press down on the brake pedal with a disturbing amount of pressure to keep the car from moving.  While I understand that it is one thing to keep a car motionless and another to decelerate the car, this leg work out makes me feel as though braking on the car is not adequate.  Unfortunately this turns into a snowball rolling down the mountain and eventually translates into my desire for a monster braking package.

Also, since my Chally is not a numbers matching vehicle, functional bling is desirable to me as long as it is not readily visible <meaning body and interior> to the casual onlooker.  Thus explaining the reason a 426 fuel injected hemi and keisler 5 speed tranny are sitting in the car.  But as someone told me once, to each their own!  Well enough  :blah: for now.

Thanx again everyone and keep it coming.

Sounds like there is a problem with the brake system. You shouldn't have to exert that much force to keep the car from moving. Are they manual brakes or do you have a booster? The stock system should be more than adequate to keep it from rolling. Have you bled them to see if there are any blockages? Have you checked for free movement of all brake cylinders? Does the car pull at all to the left or right when braking? Check all of that stuff first before you go spending a ton of money on a whole new system.
