New in Michigan..........
« on: May 31, 2007 - 05:39:04 AM »
Just got the car I always wanted when I was a kid (actually teen) and broke!
Well, 56 years old, still broke, but found a 70 Gran Coupe with a 440,new paint etc.
I was disappointed has heck with the way it drove (little power) even though it had a newly rebuilt '69 440.  Found this web site, and luck would have it - I was able to hook up with your very own "Neal" who was at "4Crusin"'s house here in Michigan.  In short order Neal had my car running like it is supposed to run - what a difference!!!
Thanks again Neal!   Awesome site!

I will post pics as soon as I figure out how ( computer "challenged").
Hope someday I too can contribute to this site.

Welcome to the site, Grinder!  Neal knows his stuff when it comes to getting these cars running to their full capacity.  I remember at Carlisle '05 when he helped a guy with a '70 RR 440-6 Pack tune the car on a trailer and the owner could actually hear a difference in how well it ran. (probably 5-6 minutes worth of tuning.)  Post some photos of your car when you get a chance.  It sounds like a very nice ride. :2thumbs:

Welcome, Grinder.  It's good to see another Michigander here at C-C.com!

You were fortunate to find this site - It is an awesome resource that I wish I had found earlier in my project!  Lots of helpful folks around here.

Hope to see your car out on Gratiot sometime - We will be looking for pictures!   :D
