1970 Barracuda project
« on: May 18, 2007 - 08:59:11 PM »
I have this Barracuda for sale.  It is in need of a lot of work, but it is a decent car.  Some of y'all may have seen it when I had it for sale on Ebay.  I had the auction starting at 9500, and no one bid on it.  I am willing to sell it for $9000, but I cannot go lower than that.

A little bit about the car - it is originally a 6-cylinder, but it now has a '69 440 engine in it.  It starts, but it doesn't run long.  I have it hooked to a boat gas tank, and it may not be pumping gas like it should.  When the engine does run, it sounds awesome.  The car needs a total restoration, as the car has rust issues all over it, including, but not limited to, the firewall and cowl, floors and trunk, quarters and tail panel, and a few pinholes throughout.  The inner fenders, rockers and frame rails are in great condition.  The car has a new Year One engine harness, and I also installed a new ignition switch for it.  There is no grille.  The car looks decent, but like I said, it's a restoration project.  I bought the car in hopes to have a driver before I finished my 340 car, but I never got it done.  With my wedding coming up and also purchasing some mountain property here in Virginia, I need to thin out with the cars and also pay off some debts.

Feel free to PM me for pictures or questions.  Thanks C-C.com!

What is the fender tag readout?  How about a build sheet?

I've been out of the loop this weekend for the most part.  I'll have to take pictures of the hood hinge area and the other requested interior areas.  The front interior trim across the top of the windshield is missing.  The headliner does look ok though, and the back seat looks ok too.  Someone did put some extra upholstery on the sail panels and the package tray.  I would definitely start with new pieces for those.

There is no fender tag or buildsheet.

I forgot to mention - the car now has Magnum 500 wheels BFG Radial T/A's.
