Engine and transmission numbers location

Hi , I was wandering if anyone could help me to find the location for the ID numbers on the  engine (340) and transmission (manual)  pics will be great..thank you

Casting #s are on the side of the block above the starter , stampings are below the front left cyinder head & on the oil pan rail behind the passenger side engine mount, trans #s are stamped on the passenger side of the trans , on the belhousing if auto & on the pad on the trans case if manual
