I tend to stay back far enough that I don't have that problem. I like to have enough room to get out of the way if someone behind me has their head up their behind and doesn't look like they will stop in time. I always keep an eye on the rearview mirror for that at stoplights! I've also found that the horn is more effective at getting peoples' attention than reving the engine!
i would rather get laughed at for revving my engine than laughed at for driving around honking my horn lol, not that i sit at lights revving but when i pull into traffic or up behind someone i like to make sure they know i am there
