Very, VERY, nice Hemidog. Has some nice goodies, Diamond pistons, aluminium KB block and Stage V gears, very similar to what mine will be. Good to see you splashed extra dollars on going the EFI way, IMO, for a street driven car it's the only way to go. Track cars I guess either or as start up and driveability don't mean too much 1/4 mile at a time. Very nice mate, can't wait to hear how it runs on the street ie traction or therefore, lack of it lol. :eek7:

But Carl,

Fuel injection and a wide-band Oxygen sensor is the way to go 1/4 mile racing.   Your computer is adjusting mixture thousands of times in one second.  You can even treat each cylinder as an engine and set the mixture for each individual cylinder based on exhaust temp.   The NHRA Pro Stock Class drag racers would love to get rid of Carburetors but NHRA wont budge.  Who knows why, since all cars since the 80s have all been injected.

You will never have BLACK SMOKE behind you when you punch it.     Just ask all of the guys behind me on the 07 Power Tour.     When the 440 6-Pack guys jumped on it, I saw clouds of smoke.
