help with tac

  my car is a 73 cuda I am working on the wire harness. There is a single wire that goes through a rubber grommet above the throttle cable. I believe it is the tac wire if it is does it go to the coil Thanks

If it is the Tach. wire, it goes to the "-" side of the coil. I believe the wire is gray in color(at least on a 1970). I wish I could help more, can you post a pic?
