Kudos to Bill Reilly of RMS! Customer service 2nd to none!

I ordered my Alterkation kit a loooong time ago.  Haven't installed it yet.

Well..when I heard he now offers airbag suspension, I inquired whether they can be retrofitted to my system.

He said no and of course I was bummed, but then he told me to ship the whole kit back to him and he will replace EVERYTHING!

Including:

-redesigned frame
-redesigned UCAs
-redesigned LCAs
-redesigned Hemi mounts
-and of course, for the price diff, the double adjustable coilovers to be replaced w/the airbags.

 

Amazing how he'll take back the whole kitten kaboodle old stuff just to give me the newer design.

Actually, I think that was super nice of them to do, you musta gone from bummed to elated at the speed of a hemi.

I will not give kudos to that guy other than...well...I'm not going to say.  Let's just leave it at that.

a WORD OF CAUTION: DO NOT USE AIRBAGS - USE THE COILOVERS

Nothing against Bill - my airbags in the rear from Ridetech Suck - one bag has leaked since installation - spoke to Ridetech about it - yea, they believe they are the greatest

Bill suggested I replace the bags with coilovers, will be ordering asap - ask Bill he will confirm this issue - as will many other Airbag users - even people who have the compressor system - bags leak and when the compressor has an issue - then you are really screwed

Really?  Bill has 'em on his ride.

I don't plan on using the bags w/the Air Ride bar deal.  Plan on using them on the C4 IRS I'm putting back there.  My buddy has their bags on his '61 Caddy.  Beatch to install, but had no issues w/the bags themselves losing air.

I got the Air Bar from Bill as well as the Alter-K, I went with coil overs.
Air Ride has done alot to make air springs a viable performance component but I still think thier function is 70% looks and image.
