Best drag radials?
« on: May 20, 2007 - 09:04:21 AM »
I need a drag radial for the `72 and there are a few chioces-BFG,MT,Goodyear and Hoosier.I am looking for something I can put on at home, drive to the track and race with and I`ll swap back to my regular tires for regular street driving.I do not want a drag only tire as the `cuda obviuosly doesn`t have the trunk space to bring them to the track and change them there.I have the bias ply MT ET streets on the `69 but wanted more of a modern radial for the `72.Anyone have any experience with these?

I've heard good things about the MT et street radial,  the new good year is suposed to be good to.  but those are both realy expensive,  ive been seeing a lot of M&H's latley but havent heard anything about them.

When I was looking at drag radials, most opinions I found were that the BFGs were more of a street tire that was as a capable drag tire. The M/T were more of a race tire that was d.o.t. legal. Since I wanted to get more street oriented rubber, I went BFG. No one ever talked about Goodyear or Hoosier, but they both make excellent race tires.

My friend had the G Force T/A's on his 11 sec mustang, then switched to the ET Streets. They were so stick, he pulled the rear end out of the car when he launched.  Think I'll get a set for my Challenger, but like the lettering on the side wall to match the T/A radials on the front.
