A nut and bolt 70 AAR sublime green numbers matching motor, auto trans, 13k documented miles. Black guts non- rally dash drop dead gorgeous restoration. I got a chance to buy it but scared of the market. Ball park figure will help. Thanks  :2thumbs:

Sounds pretty nice. I'd say 50-60 thousand.

We went to one of our big auctions over the weekend.  We are in Oklahoma.  They had a fairly nice restored orange AAR Cuda there.  The high bid was $110,000 but the guy wanted $115,000 for it so we don't know if it sold or not.
Wiiildcat,
What is the guy asking for his Green AAR?
Why are you afraid of the market?  The market is still good for origianl cars.  I think the clones are not doing as well but from what we saw at the auction this last weekend the market is still pretty good.

Wiiildcat,
I think that is a good deal.  Why is it not a good deal now?  After seeing the orange AAR at the auction over the weekend.  $85,000 is a very good deal.  He had a top bid of $110,000.  I think the original cars will always bring the big money.

Barrett Jackson and that other large auction company,,,,,hmmm Krause have had several T?As and AARs on lately.  Many were matching numbers and almost all went from $50K to $64K.   These were rotisserie cars, and the prices have dipped.   So I dont think $85k, $75K, or $65K cars are easy to sell.    The market is tight, very tight on these cars.  And dont be believeing all the "I heard this brought that" kinda stories out there.   Check the auction listings for the cars around the country.   You can find about any T/A or AAR in #1 condition for $55k being sold all day long.   Too bad, so sad for many people who have let a restoration shop get them for $50,000 in labor.    Unfortunately those individuals need to get $85K to come out on it.

Oh I agree, the only auction numbers that matter are sold cars not high bid cars, cause I know for a fact they bid against the wall if reserve isnt coming off the car.
