I just wanted to say "hey" to everyone and let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! After much research, negotiating, selling my first born (lol), etc., I have put my 1971 Barracuda convertible in the hands of a body shop for some body work and eventual paint. I decided to do all of the body work and paint first before finishing the interior and top thanks to all of the input I received from y'all. Thanks for all of the responses regarding your opinion on this subject.
I have stripped the car from the doors back and they will be doing the bodywork and primer work. They will also be cutting out a 18"x18" section of the trunk floor on the left side and replacing it with a trunk floor from Year One. Dropped it off to them last Wednesday (11/12/03) and checked on it today. All that has happened is that it has accumulated sanding dust from other cars to this point
.
I am looking forward to seeing the completed work so I can continue to strip the car and move forward (we hope!).
Talk to y'all soon!
