1970 Challender Tail Panel (Goodmark or ??)
« on: June 25, 2007 - 09:36:27 PM »
I am considering replacing my tail panel on my 70 Challenger due to some shoddy resto work in the past.  The car was hit in the back sometime in the past and the tools used included a piece of garden hose, dry wall screws, rolledup duck tape, and Vice grips or channel locks to shape the body.  (Grin....)

Has anyone one used the repops from Goodmark (part number: 2120-850-701) or do you have any other recommendations???

Still a newb, but jumped in with both feet (shoulda taken off the blind fold first...)

I feel for ya. My problem was worse even than yours, someone butchered my 71 tailpanel to put 70 taillights in   :puke:  It was ugly and there are no repops for the 71 Challenger yet. I was lucky and had an old parts car I lost track of (another story). Well I got ahold of my old parts car and cut the tailpanel out. It was welded in and I feel much better knowing it is now solid and right now. It is pretty involved if you are taking the whole tailpanel out from what the Clown was posting. Lots of spot welds to drill out. Good luck whether you repair the one in the car now, repair with a used panel or with the repop unit.
