I have just purchased a T/A and now would like to have an AAR to go with it. As my cash is gone, I will trade the following car for the right AAR:
I live in Maine and here is some information and photos of my L78 Chevelle. I have many more photos I could send.
Thanks,
Al Barlow

1970 Chevelle SS L78 with the awesome ORIGINAL 396-375 engine with a 4-speed. It is a 1970 CHEVELLE SS 396 L78/375 HP, M20 4 speed, Vin # 136370K125216, 3:
55, 12 bolt posi, P/S, P/Disc brakes, F41 suspension, black deluxe interior, console, Strato buckets, rear defog, gauge package, 7000 RPM tach, clock, SS wheels, cowl hood, D88 stripes, Forest Green. Take a very quick trip back in time with this numbers matching, factory super car. The 1970 L78/396 solid lifter Chevelle was and still is an extremely rare car with a lower production than the LS6 with 4,475 LS6ýs produced in 1970 and only 2,144 L78ýs produced in 1970. Of those 2,144, only 231 were exported to Canada for sale. When is the last time you saw a real 1970 L78 for sale? And as always,
high horse power options coupled with low production numbers are the most valued and this car is no exception. The heart and soul of this bare knuckled Detroit street brawler is its engine which is essentially a blueprint for a factory race car and includes, magnifluxed forged steel rods, solid lift cam shaft, oversized valves, forged aluminum pistons, aluminum intake, rectangular port heads, 4 bolt mains, 11.01 compression, 415 ft. lbs of torque, special distributor. Add an M20 4 speed with a 12 bolt posi and this car can be best described as a cruise missile on wheels. This car has been restored from the
interior to the engine (even the clock has been quartzed). I have just installed a new white vinyl top as well as a new dual friction Centerforce clutch kit and paid $500 on Ebay for a mint 1970 Chevelle AM/FM Stereo radio.
I have documentation from GM of Canada to prove that this L78 is without a doubt the real deal and not a clone which is all too common among Chevelles.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the rarest true muscle cars to come out of Detroit in 1970, and this particular Chevelle is one of the nicest examples you'll find anywhere. I have related documentation, the owners
manual and a guaranteed clean title. I also have a dealer tag (see photo) from Holiday Chevy Olds in Winnipeg where the L78 was purchased new. A serious car for the very serious buyer only.   $44,000

While it's a nice looking car I think your going to have a hard time in your quest by going to a mopar site asking to swap for a GM product.

Be like going to a dog show to trade your long hair persian cat for a husky.  IMHO

Good luck though

Response to DL74Cuda's comments.

You know that there are people out there, like me, who simply love muscle cars whether they're Mopar, GM, Ford or AMC. In fact I have owned dozens of muscle cars and have purchased from each of the above catagories. I guess if you're looking for a Cuda, why not come to the Cuda site? Nothing gained, nothing lost but maybe that person who is like me will see this ad and we will both have gained. Just my two cents worth.

WOW :o :o :o

Now there's a car !!!!

You should be able to sell the 396 and have about half
the money you need for the AAR  ;)

It's been my observation that the AAR 'Cuda is the
hottest property in the entire hobby right now and
the price is the going up. It would be hard to find
a 'Cuda of any kind in the years of '70 or '71 in the same
good condition of your Chevy
