I just bought my first E-body -- a 1973 Barracuda. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, but its pictures are still up on Ebay:

So, I didn't want a rare car I'd feel guilty about messing with or something I'd worry if it was no longer stock. This car is perfect for that.
As far as I've been able to tell so far, this car must have been through several owners, and each one has put their own take on it. It was originally a green 318 car, with green interior, and a vinyl top. The top was taken off, and at some point painted blue. Then, the current red paint job -- who ever did that was much more thorough than the blue painter. They also put in an all new red accent interior, but that's showing some age now.
Its also been through some engines. The current is a 1972 400 -- I assume from a Charger. The engine wasn't cleaned up much before it went in, but its got a brand new carb and exhaust on it
I guess the good news is, that going through all of those owners, its probably never just sat and rotted. Its a driver -- Changed the belts on it, and drove it every day this week -- no problems so far.
I was thinking about swapping out the engine, maybe going for a 440, since there were never any 400's in any of these. But after reading up some, it looks like the 400 is in the same family as the 383 and 440 anyway, maybe I'll just keep it. Anybody got thoughts on that? I read somewhere those are thought of as "smog" motors, but all of the smog stuff on this engine is gone anyway, so is there any good reason I shouldn't keep it?
