location search?
« on: July 01, 2007 - 04:23:45 PM »
I was wondering if there was a way we search for other member based on location. I also know this might be a problem of privacy for others but there might be a way we could weed out people who do not want to be in that type of search. I just think it might be a nice idea to see who is close to where you live for possibly meeting at local shows.
             thanks...........

If they have bothered to put a pin in the map(see link above) you can zoom in on your area....
Best way to get a handle on it probably is to have a ROLE CALL thread for your area and you will hear from the active members in a short time.

Lokk at the top of the page.  right under where it say "vote here for 100 Mopar sites"  there is a tool bar, look for map.
if you click the link a map will come up and see where some people are located.  Everyone is not on the map though.

The map is a great way and alot of members include location in the signature or avitar.

Thanks guys....
I did not see that. I added myself to the map, but it still does not show all of the people unless they add them self to the map. I was hoping for a search engine that you could type a zip and a miles radius to find people. I guess you can not have everything you want. But you can keep asking...
