While everyone decides/argues over which car they would take out of the Grand National and AAR I will sneak into your garage and take the Daytona
...the Daytona was purchased from the original owner in 1980.....they were kinda valuable, but not like they would be a few years later.....it had 10K miles on it, we put in way too much cam and I ran it on the street with open headers and 4.10 gears for about 5 years....way too much noise.....so, most feared it as did my buddy with the GN....later, after I retired it from semi daily driver use, it became a "magazine star"....it was first used in 1987 and appeared in many magazines and books for the last 20 years....it has also been turned into a couple of Daytona toys......but, back in the day, I just drove it like a regular car/hot rod....for a summer, I even used it as a repair/service truck when I repaired drink fountains for Coca Cola USA....I hauled tools and parts in the trunk all the time....it was fun driving the big ugly Dodge
