Changing Oil in a 4X4

My dad wants me to start changing his oil in his piece of crap explorer is there anything you have to do different in a 4X4....sorry for the dumb question...

Unless it requires a special type of oil; just drain it, change the filter, and fill it back up to specs. I am not sure about your explorer, but some of the 4x4s make it hard to reach the filter. Good luck.
