just installed my 4 speed pedals

and i put the spring on and it holds tight in the up position. i have not hooked up any rods to the clutch pedal and i pushed it down and after it reached a certain piont it slamed down and i had to pull it back up is that suppose to happen?

That happened to mine when we took the linkages off, and left the pedals in the car. Good thing my hand wasn't under it, that thing really slams down  Your good just be carefull.

Where did you get the pedal assembly...or conversion kit?

i pretty much put it together my self but most of it was from brewers and harms

When I had mine rebuilt the guy wire tied it in position. He said there's something like 400 pounds of pressure on the overcenter spring and it would be real easy to lose a digit or two.

Don't ask me how I know but it takes about a year for the nail to grow back!!
