« on: December 18, 2003 - 08:54:31 PM »
Ok, im sure you guys have gotten this question about a million times. But here it goes....can anybody tell me pretty much everything I'm going to need to convert a Challenger from an auto- to a 4 speed trans. Especially, do you need a different size driveshaft going from a 727-833??? thanks in advance for the help

the drive shaft spline is the same on a 727 and 833...

pedals
bracket that has two stud to bolt one side of the pedals
push rod-from the pedal to Z-bar
boot for the rod
bracket for side of frame
Z-bar and bushings & pivot balls
push rod--from Z-bar to clutch fork
Trans tunnel welded in
shifter boot
Trans
flywheel
bellhousing
clutch fork
i think i'm miss some but this is what i can think of off the top of my head

A couple more:

Firewall support bracket for pedal assembly.  Keeps the pedals from pulling out of the firewall.

Pressure plate.

Clutch disk.

Transmission  ;)

Pistol Grip shifter ( accept no substitutes )  ;D

Assuming a long tailshaft 833, the driveshaft should be the right length ( Not real sure about this one, Chryco ? )

Here's a link :

Hope this helps,
