4 speed transmission

Sorry..this is such a  newby question that it is embarrssing but I need help :dunno:

I want to add gear oil to my 4 speed trans and the only place that I can find is the square bolt on the passenger side of the trans (the driver side has all the gears connections and a lower square bolt that I think is for draining the oil)..is that rigth!!

Yes, the square headed plug on the passenger side is the fill plug.

fill it to the level of the plug , generally 4 qts
