Quick question, would like a quick answer
« on: July 20, 2007 - 12:27:48 PM »
I am most likely going to get my 5.7 for my truck in a few hours.   :woo:

What is the best way to hold it down?  I dont want to set it on the pan.  We have some large 6x6 blocks, could I set the pan bolts on these, and then strap it down to the sides?   ???

Advice and ideas would be great, thanks.

When I was trucking my 340 all over the country I had made a cradle out of 2x4s for it.

The cradle of wood is the easist. I put screws in mine for my 440 to keep them together. On my 528 Hemi I welded together a stand that bolted into the motor mounts and supported the rear of the motor at the ears. It was the best.

The redneck answer is just use a big empty truck tire.   Or a couple of smaller ones
