It's like having Vanishing Point dubbed in African.

With all the clicks and stuff?!!!  :roflsmiley:

So I guess there's 2 versions of audio.  The way I tell is that in the beginning chase scene, in the American one, the Nightrider has a deeper voice and the Aussi version he has a higher voice.

Does that sound right?  :clueless:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Here's a Lukey site with sound clips for different vehicles.

Yes, clicks, mouth pops and all. If you've seen Gods Must Be Crazy, that's what I'm talking about. As far as I know he may have a whiny voice but not high, just the Aussie accent I guess. Mel and the rest have "deep voices". Mind you Nightrider is a maniac and spends most of his time screaming/yelling/going crazy. lol.

While we're talking Mad Max, here is an interesting Mad Max inspired music video by Puretone.  Too bad there is no audio of the car chase!

The original Interceptor was a wreckers special, a 302 c i Geelong motor that looked like a cleveland but was much weaker due to thinner castings. They also made a 351 with the same weak castings, just a different crank. Anyway it was an auto, possibly a C4 from memory and they bolted on all the "Go Faster" bits to give the effect. At the end of the movie it was truely totalled, however an enterprising bloke got hold of the totalled wreck and using another body rebuilt it and towed it around to car shows.  :swaying:
His tow car ended up in my workshop and was nearly as bad as the interceptor in appearance. That was over 12 years ago.   :working:

:banghead:   I didn't have my camera then, it was the Coupe.
If you look at the coupe in the movie the camera angles were set to not show how bad the car really was as it was a low budget movie.
Yes, now my cell phone goes every where with me and it has a built in camera so I won't miss these events in the future.
