Steering column

I am wondering if anyone knows of a company that sells reconditioned steering columns that you don't have to send yours in and wait 8 to 10 weeks to come back? I had one coming from Canada but the guy said it got lost in the Canadian post. I am in dire straight to get one and get this car going. I do have the one that came from the car but I am not to comfortable rebuilding it myself. Thanks

SMS states that you don't necessarily have to have a core.

SMS Core Policy
All cores will be inspected. All cores sent to SMS must be rebuildable cores. Any cores sent that are damaged, unmatched or have excessive rust will result in additional cost to customer. If the customer does not have a core to exchange for a particular item, at additional cost, cores may be available. Please inquire on availability.

I just got a e-mail back and the cost would be $650.00 for
the rebuilding (in black, floor shift, power, no coupling block) plus a core
charge of $150.00 plus$32.05 S & H and $15.00 for Packing fees = $847.05.
You can send back your core and receive up to $150.00 back depending on
completeness and condition of the column. I guess that's going to be the quickest.

I rebuilt my own. Easy and cheap to do. follow that article.

What parts should I be looking for?

What is the problem with the column now ?
 usually you do not need much if anything for parts unless it has been apart before & something was left out

I don't think there is anything wrong with the column its just I have rebuilt, painted or powdercoated or chromed just about everything on the car and I might as well rebuild the column.
