I am planning to replace the rear end oil on my 73, I don't know what the PO was using, I need your opinion as to what is the best oil (and since is the first time that I am doing it
)the best way to empty the oil on it..thank you

if it is a 8 3/4" diff you can either suck the oil out with a suction gun Or pull the carrier out of the housing
75-90 synthetic oil is the best to use
