Same bolt pattern?
« on: August 02, 2007 - 01:55:55 PM »
I need to know if a 3.9L v6 has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as all the smallblocks.  I think I found a tranny for my truck, It was just on a 3.9.

I've heard before they were the same, but I need to know for sure.  Thanks

Ask Rob, aka shelbydogg, he might know.

I think he was playing aroung with the idea of putting a truck tranny in a friends Challenger and may be familiar with the different bellhousings.

The 3.9 V6 truck motor is suppose to be the same as a 318, but missing two cylinders, so yes it should fit without a problem.   :2thumbs:

But I am not sure about all of the linkage, since it is a shorter motor.   :dunno:
