New "mini" project!
« on: August 05, 2007 - 09:16:37 AM »
Been looking for one of these for a while....I had one when I was 5 and drove the wheels off it. I have an 8month old boy and thought it would be fun to get one and restore it so he'd have it when he's a little older. There is an abundance of parts for these little bikes and they are bulletproof. I seen it in a garage about 2 years ago, was rollerblading by his house a couple weeks ago and he still had it....so I left him my number and he called me a few days later. Got it for $200   :woohoo:  Took it home, started in 3 kicks, old gas and all. My brother took it for a spin up the road and got stopped by the cops though...  :banghead:  Now my little minitrail 50 is marked already..lol.

I need something to keep me busy till I can get another car.

BTW its a 1978 Z50A.

awsome, i got one of those from my uncle brand new when i was 7 years old, i drove it till i was 25 lol. i would prolly still have it and ride but it got stolen.
it was the best vehicle on the farm, you would through it on the step or the fender of the tractor and run the tractor out to the field and ride the bike back it turned a 2 man operation into a 1 man job lol and it was fun.

Yeah they're pretty handy little bike, I drove mine everyday when I was a kid, never had a problem with it. I like taking it camping and stuff, cruise around and visit people..lol.

No......it's just some jap crap i got for cheap.  we got three of 'em.   My bro snagged the rear wheel. :stomp:  He's about to get a totaly done up one. Like 3500 bucks! Cost like 6K new.:screwy:   I got to admit.....they are stupid fun!!   All my friends/teamates got 'em.   We terrorize places like Keystone,Telluride,Snowmass,ect....    not to mention all the other places around here there are to "get into trouble".             Here's some pics of my DH rig. It's about the best you can get. There's nothing like it in the world.Take the chairlift up,down we come!  you should see some of the stuff we ride! You probably wouldn't believe it until you saw it.  Crazy stuff these bikes can do! I know I've gotten her up to 54 m.p.h. off road.....going into a berm. You can easily jump 40-50 ft.        My life is amazing!

SUPER quiet...thats why I liked it, my brother was talking to me on his cell phone while he was driving it and I couldn't even hear it running. I don't wanna draw attention with it, I want to be able to cruise around the community to my buddies house and down to the lake and stuff.
