On my Carter AVS, its leaking. I found out why it is leaking from the throttle shaft. After it warms up and I drive it for a while, it starts stumbling bad, and chokes itself out. I go and look at the carb, and just above the secondary butterflys there are two brass rod things? Anyways, gas is leaking BAD out of these, falling onto the sec. butterflys, and leaking out the throttle shaft. The primaries also seem to be dumping in gas at idle, it looks like there is gas dripping off those little round things just above the butterflies.
I thought that maybe the float level was off. So I took it off and re-adjusted the float, and blew out the needles. It still has the same symptoms, sometimes. After it floods out, I get it going again after a few minutes, I drive home, and it doesnt do it anymore,
sometimes.
Im so confoozed!
Sorry for my bad carb terminology.
