Six Pack conversion question
« on: August 11, 2007 - 02:54:10 PM »
Since my Challenger isn't numbers matching anyway I'm thinking of adding the six pack kit mopar performance sells. My engine was rebuilt to six pack specs so that's all ok, but will I run into any clearance problems or need any impossible to find parts ? I have the ralley hood. I don't want to undertake this project if it's going to be a big hassle. one other thing I have the parts to put my factory A/C back on but with a six pack set up that can't be done can it?

The only clearance problem I had was the six-pack air breather hit my MSD billet distributer. A small notch took care of that problem. I don't have AC, so I can't help you with that part of your question.

I tend to agree, but I notice the older I get the more A/C seems like a good idea.

you can put in a Sanden compressor and a six pack fits, no cutting.   Did it myself

Somebody here has the old style compressor, and to make it fit, they had to notch the Air cleaner base.

Six Pack Performance out of New Mexico has complete 6 pack systems as well , Art is great to deal with , all of the brackets etc are powder coated & you will have everything you need , no clearance issues with the buldge hood , Sanden compressors will fit with the 6 pack

Here's mine with the Sanden compressor and rallye hood.  No clearance problems.
